The indulge Outlet Sale was the perfect excuse for a girls' day out for Mt Maunganui women Jael King and Ilona Sherson.

The pair were quick to snap up bargains, Mrs King grabbing a pair of shoes and Mrs Sherson buying three pairs of shoes for the price of one.

"I'm just sold on my shoe purchases. We probably wouldn't have been able to get one pair of shoes for that price usually," Mrs Sherson said.

Mrs King said it was a great opportunity to get quality clothing for a reasonable price.

"It's definitely worth it. To be able to buy quality clothes for a good price and from New Zealand designers. Events like this allow you to spread the dollar a little further.

"It's great for the Bay and good to see local designers too."

indulge Outlet Sale event manager Dayna Comeskey said it was a huge turnout of people, with a line of people at the door before opening at 10am.

"It's the first designer sale of this size and it seems to have been really well received."

The sale attracted women of all ages and the fashion catered to everyone.

"There's definitely a huge variety of stock for women of all ages," Ms Comeskey said.

Designers were making the most of the chance to offer end of season stock for discounted prices. Evolution Mt Maunganui store director Miranda Cobb said it was great to be involved in an event with other retailers.

"It's good to support indulge as well and for everyone to get together and have a one-stop shop. The feedback from our customers has been really good."

Mrs King and Mrs Sherson said they had not planned to buy anything but had really enjoyed the sale and would definitely look out for it again next year.

Aucklander Melissa Harris was in the Bay for the weekend and used the opportunity to head to the outlet sale.

"The quality and range was amazing and the people are really lovely and helpful.

"Usually you have to go all over the place to the individual sales but it's great having them all together."

This was the first year of the indulge Outlet Sale and the third for the Bay model competition.
