Western Bay of Plenty gymnasts returned from the National Gymsports Championships with a swag of medals and seven New Zealand National Champion titles.

The tumbling section proved to be a great source of success with Anna Cunningham (17+ women), Dion Fraser (17+ men) Cuba Te Aho (13-14 men), Medea Jones (11-12 women) and Taliyah Carter (10 and under women) all taking national titles.

In the rhythmic section, Isabella Johansson won the level 5 national title, and also won gold in the level 5 free, rope and ribbon categories, while Lucy Pringle won the national title in the Women's Artistic Gymsport Step 9 overs all round category and gold in the vault and balance beam and silver in the uneven bars. Anna Cunningham, Medea Jones and Taliyah Carter combined to win the national women's team tumbling title, while Catrin Pearce, Charlotte Cameron and Pippa Harvey won the ADP Level 4 trio national title.

In total the team returned with 16 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze medals.

Other results
Rhythmic Tayla Dickson: Level 5 silver on ribbon. Bobbi-Rose Holmes: Level 5 bronze on free.

Women's Artistic
Chelsea Barns: WAG Step 10 Overs bronze for all-Around, WAG Step 10 Overs gold on vault, WAG Step 10 Overs bronze on bar, WAG Step 10 Transtasman Challenge silver on vault, WAG Step 10 Transtasman Challenge team silver. Memphis Lun: WAG Step 9 Overs gold on uneven bars. Amy Pilkinton: WAG Step 7 Overs silver on vault. Brooke Tomaszeski: WAG Step 7 Unders silver on balance beam. Shara Nathan: WAG Step 6 Overs gold on beam. India Jarden: WAG Step 6 Unders bronze on vault. Harriett Burton: WAG Step 5 Overs silver all-around, WAG Step 5 Overs bronze on floor.

Men's Artistic
Trampoline: David Smyth: 13-14 men's synchro silver. Aerobics: Etianne Graham ADP Level 2 bronze. Catrin Pearce ADP Level 4 bronze. Tumbling: Leah Nicholas: 17+ yr old women silver. David Smyth: 13-14 yr old men silver. Jackson Butler: 13-14 yr old men Bronze. Samantha Bartley: 11-12 yr old women silver.
