A cyclist, who tried to cross the road on a red light, was knocked off his bike.

A cyclist was treated for minor injuries after riding into the path of a car.

Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of 15th Ave and Cameron Rd about 9am.

Senior Constable Steve Murray said the cyclist, a man in his 40s, tried to cross 15th Ave on a red light and had been hit by a car coming straight through from the expressway.
