3 Choose a design and practise first on paper. Also test out the thickness of the fabric marker, if you are wanting to create a more intricate design a thick marker won't work.
4 Decide how much width you want for each row. Tape off every few centimetres and draw within the guides. This will ensure your pattern is even.
5 Set the ink with a tumble dry, or press deliberately with an iron. Treat as a delicate when washing and don't use bleach on your cushion.
TIP: Don't try and cheat and use a Sharpie, they fade with a yellow halo around the design over time.
