The makers of two inspirational mini documentary series will speak in Tauranga tonight.
Father and daughter Steve and Riley Hathaway of Young Ocean Explorers have made two series, the second of which is currently screening on What Now on Sundays.
"We want to inspire a generation of Young Ocean Explorers who, through our stories, will realise that New Zealand's marine world is just as spectacular and unique as our land," says Steve.
The idea is to inspire young Kiwis to experience it for themselves and ultimately want to look after it and treat it as special.
Steve is an underwater cameraman who has shot footage for the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery, for the New Zealand series Our Big Blue Backyard and the documentary Black Fish, about orca in captivity.
