This group of lime green hip hop boppers from Fairhaven School in Te Puke had the crowd in the palms of their hands at Baycourt on Saturday.
The fast-moving crew, named DSA or Dream, Strive, Achieve, were one of 21 crews that performed in the Project Youth Hip Hop Dance Competition.
Now in its second year, 160 students from the Bay of Plenty and Waikato took to the stage for the contest.
Juniors performed for the public at lunchtime on Saturday and the seniors danced in the evening. Ten-year-old DSA member Topea Orgias said hip hop was "very cool". "We love doing it, it's really fun," she said.
