Self-employed architectural designer Kyle Goldsack, 28, hoped more support for small businesses would be a priority.
"The issue that most needs to be addressed in the Budget is to build the economy by helping small and medium businesses, as that's where most people work," he said.
Higher level education wouldalso foster an economy that supported small entrepreneurial businesses, he said.
"Develop relevant skills at an international level for the future, rather than the last decade, in turn having a wider resource of people and skill sets nationally to retain educated Kiwis and attract international companies to employ here. More money also needed to be pumped into fighting obesity in the short term.
"Put systems in place to prevent or avoid a future of overweight and diabetic communities, which has a drain on the budget where that money could be better spent on mental health and education."
