Aspen tree needs more work

Two more branches will be removed from the 146-year-old aspen tree on the corner of Willow and McLean Streets today.
McLean St was to remain open.
The tree was extensively pruned last week after a large branch came loose and crashed to the ground, exposing how far rot had spread through it.
Twenty tonnes of branches were removed and the tree's height reduced from 34m to 19m.
