Luminescent cycle paths and night markets are among suggestions being sought for plans to pump some excitement into the Tauranga CBD after dark.
A draft Arts and Culture Strategy has been created and a steering group tasked with implementing the plan is keen to hear from Bay of Plenty residents what they would like to see.
Group chairwoman Sonya Korohina said the strategy had an overall vision of celebrating the city's cultural history and diversity, creative industries and arts experiences "every day, for everyone".
The draft strategy was developed by a group of local creative, business, economic development and iwi representatives.
"We believe that arts and cultural experiences are a vital part of the fabric of life in the Bay so we are determined to see this sector grown exponentially, as well as contribute to and take advantage of tourism and resident population increases," she said.
