A Rotorua woman has been flown to hospital after falling down a steep bank while gardening.
The Tauranga based Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a farm near Mamaku this afternoon where a 68-year-old woman had fallen down a steep bank while weed spraying.
The woman sustained lower leginjuries and was treated at the scene by St John ambulance medics before being flown to Rotorua hospital for further treatment.
The helicopter was used because of difficult access to the patient.
