Helicopters will be buzzing over the TECT All Terrain Park this afternoon for a fire service training day.
Around 30 Fire Service staff from the Mount, Papamoa, Pukehina and Te Puke brigades will be taking part in the training exercise from 1pm along with the park's fire crew.
Helicopters will be involved to ensure the crews get hands on experience working with choppers in a rural fire setting.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council communications manager Peter Hennessey said "think choppers flying at low level with monsoon buckets".
