"Maybe God's help".
That is the only cause Bureta Superette owner Balvir Singh and his wife Satinder Kaur can find for their shop being  Tauranga's luckiest Lotto outlet.
"We are friendly to everyone and I think we do a good job. Lots of people come from all around Tauranga to buy tickets
from our store," Mr Singh, 41, said.
He and his 38-year-old wife have owned the store for four years and have been selling Lotto tickets for three years.
Business had boomed  following the last big win in January, 2008, when the store sold a $13.3million ticket to a Western Bay family, and trade had remained steady ever since.
But the couple say to this day the big winners have not identified themselves.
There was "no bunch of flowers", said Mr Singh.
He had no idea whether the winners had been back into his store or even still lived in the area, but he bore no ill-feeling towards them, and hoped each week a local punter won "the big one".
Before selling the $13.3million ticket in May, 2007, a $333,000 ticket was also sold at Bureta Superette.
Mr Singh said he got a big kick out of his customers' wins, big or small, but added he was too busy serving customers to watch the big draw on television.
Since the $13.3million and $333,000 wins, Mr Singh said he had also sold a couple of second-division winning tickets and recently sold a $20,000 Keno ticket.
Last year he sold a $19,000 second-division ticket to a local winner, who bought him and his wife  flowers and also wanted to give his two sons $500 each.
"We couldn't take the money from her. She was an old lady who needed the money. But it was a very kind offer."
Last year, they also sold a $10,000  Instant Kiwi ticket.
Mr Singh said he had yet to score a winning ticket of that magnitude  - despite buying a ticket each week. The most he had won was $81.
Asked what he would do if he and his wife won the big one, he said he would invest some of the money in expanding his business, and would also love to travel to India and England to visit family.
A new car and possibly a new house would also be on the shopping list, he said.  Donating some of the winnings to charity would also be a must. "There are plenty of poor people out there who could benefit."
Tonight's Powerball is worth $3million.
