A South Korean military official says North Korea has banned boats off its west coast although no unusual military activity has been detected.
The South's Yonhap news agency cited a Government source as saying the no-sail zone was set from June 19-27 north of Nampo port.
Similar restrictions have preceded previous missile tests or drills.
