River City Boxing Club will host up to 17 bouts this evening for their second major tournament of the year at the Kaierau Country Club.
A number of matchups still had to be confirmed by this morning due to injury and travel arrangements for several North Island clubs.
Club golden boy Egelani Taito, who won a North Island Golden Gloves championship in Taupo back in June, was waiting to hear if his bout with a Taupo opponent will be the main event.
It is possible the fight to close out the show will be a 107kg heavyweight scrap, while the Taupo club members are also looking to get on the road early for the long drive back.
Taito, 25, won two fights at the River City club's last show in March.
Other locals on the card include Jesse Malcolm, 16, who received his North Island title unopposed in June.
His brother Judah Malcolm could follow Taito's example from March by also having two fights this evening, although he is returning from a back injury.
The club's youngest Trinity Albert, 11, will be walked to ring by mum for her first fight, while Chili Palmer is having his second.
Madeline Buckridge, 13, is also on debut.
The card will start at 5pm and run around three hours.
Door prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $3 for under 5's.
