Whanganui Police are encouraging people to report bad driving behaviour at the time it is happening.
The message comes after an Aramoho resident contacted the Wanganui Chronicle about locals' concerns for public safety, particularly of children and the elderly, because of cars speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road and doing doughnuts in Delhi Ave.
"You walk your dog and you're scared a car is going to come round the corner and go on the wrong side," the woman, who asked not to be named, said.
"That's happened to me before and they didn't care - they just laughed. Now it's happening at all hours. It's just crazy. When I went for a walk the other day, they were doing doughnuts in the middle of the road.
"Probably I worry about the kids on the road more than anything. Lots of kids ride their bikes along there to Churton School."
