A Whanganui man has confessed to raping a girl under the age of 16.
Daniel Livingston Bolton appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to the rape charge, three charges of unlawful sexual connections to a female and one charge for verbally threatening to kill.
Defence lawyer Stephen Ross said they were very serious charges.
"Mr Bolton has made a full confession to the alleged offence and wishes a guilty plea to be entered to all charges."
The offending was reported to have taken place on August 7 in Whanganui.
