Te Tua John-Paul Kemp has been warned drinking and driving on a zero alcohol licence will lead to prison.
Sergeant Drew Morrison told the Whanganui District Court on Wednesday that Kemp was stopped by police on March 25 with alcohol in his system when he was on a zero alcohol licence.
Kemp at the time told police he hadn't been drinking but was around people who were.
In court he pleaded guilty to drink driving while on a zero alcohol licence.
Lawyer Stephanie Burlace said he had made an early guilty plea and was apologetic.
