Down at 179a Victoria Ave energy is contagious.
Two Whanganui "fix it" businesses last month moved into the same premise to cut costs and collaborate networks.
Daniel Goldsworthy, owner of Plumber Dan, and Hayden Brandon, owner of Brandon's IT Services (B.I.T.S), leaped at the opportunity to connect their businesses into one shared-space.
Left of the store is Plumber Dan's operation and on the right is the tech savvy business B.I.T.S which fixes computers and mobile phones.
Mr Brandon said he was lucky to have met Plumber Dan through their shared loved for cars.
"Dan bought the premises and offered me half the space which was amazing."
Mr Brandon said his old office was just two stores down, at the back of Pita Pit which is owed by his father.
"The move has been good opportunity to have direct access to the Mainstreet and give the business more of a professional face," Mr Brandon said.
B.I.T.S was set up five years ago, after Mr Brandon moved down from Auckland and realised his knack for fixing computers could become a viable business.
"I've been fixing computers since I was 12 years old. I would probably break them first and then work out how to fix them."
On top of the big move, Mr Brandon has also expanded his business collaborating with "iPhone perfectionist" Michael Kuhn.
Throughout school Mr Kuhn was the go-to guy for fixing iPhones. So, after he left school an iPhone repair business seemed viable.
For the last six years the 23 year old has run his business from home and fixed around 3,000 iPhones.
Mr Kuhn said it was a big advantage not to be working from home.
"I'm able to work from 9 till 5, not working alone and work in a professional space. It's also a bonus when people see the microscope I work with and realise how complex my job really is."
