Around 150 riders and pillions took on more than 150kms of windy, twisty roads, hills and tight corners on Sunday as they took part in the 9th Chateau to Plateau ride.
Jeff Morgan, president of the Toko Lions who are organisers of the popular event, says they were delighted with the large turnout.
We had brilliant weather for it, not wet, but also not too hot considering everyone is wearing motorcycle gear.
Starting at The Chateau in Ruapehu, riders set off after the safety briefing for a ride through what has to be some of the country's best scenery.
Stopping at Whangamomona for lunch, the riders then continue their ride to the the plateau on Mount Taranaki. Riders and pillions then head to the War Memorial Hall in Stratford for evening refreshments and a prizegiving.
