Israel Dagg's hopes of being a late injury replacement for the All Blacks at the Rugby World Cup look to be dashed after he dislocated his shoulder in Hawkes Bay's Ranfurly Shield win over Auckland last night.
The Magpies fullback missed out on the 31-man All Blacks squad but would be in the running to replace one of the back three if injury occurred during the tournament.
However the 48-test veteran, who started in the 2011 Rugby World Cup final, looks set to miss the rest of the season after suffering the injury to his right shoulder in the second half of Hawkes Bay's 17-12 win.
