Kiwi boxer Brice Ritani-Coe battled to a frustrating draw in his heavyweight bout against American Kourtney Boden at the Edgewater Casino in Laughlin, Nevada on Saturday (NZT).

The Queenstown product took his professional record to 3-0-1 following the four-round bout that was part of an ESPN Friday Night Fights card.

While he remained undefeated in the pro ranks he was unimpressed with the result.

"I couldn't get my rhythm and put too much pressure on myself for the KO," he told APNZ via text message.

"Came up empty and got a draw. I thought I won on points ... But it's a learning curve"

Ritani-Coe, who previously dabbled in mixed martial arts before turning to boxing full-time, was hopeful of securing another bout in the next few months.
