The goals kept flowing at North Harbour Stadium yesterday as New Zealand booked their place in next year's Fifa Women's World Cup.
The Football Ferns took their goal tally from five matches to 50 without conceding.
Papua New Guinea went into the match expecting to test the hosts but succumbed
to the rampant Kiwis.
After going through their three pool matches and semifinal unbeaten - scoring nine goals and conceding just one - the visitors were no match for John Herdman's Ferns.
In winning convincingly - their closest contest was the 7-0 win over Tahiti - New Zealand became the ninth team to book their place at the June 26-July 17 World Cup in Germany.
They join Australia, the first to qualify as Asian champions, Japan, North Korea, England, France, Norway, Sweden and hosts Germany for the showpiece tournament.
PNG, without top goalkeeper Linda Bunaga - suspended after being sent off in the semifinal win over the Cook Islands - and with top midfielder Daisy Winas under an injury cloud, were never in it.
Ali Riley, surprisingly with her first international goal, got New Zealand started after just seven minutes with a 15 metre left-foot strike.
Rosie White then headed home a Riley cross after 15 minutes for 2-0 which became three within three minutes when Ria Percival found the bottom corner of the PNG goal.
There was no further scoring until the 33rd minute but three goals in six minutes had them 6-0 ahead at the break as Hannah Wilkinson, captain Hayley Moorwood and White joined the scoring action.
Sarah Gregorious replaced Wilkinson at halftime and within five minutes set up White who completed her hat-trick. Six minutes later White had her fourth.
On the hour White departed, replaced by Anna Green, as Herdman made a double-substitution with victory assured.
Gregorious made it 9-0 after 73 minutes before Amber Hearn added a 10th - and her 12th of the tournament to claim the Golden Boot. Fittingly, Moorwood scored the last goal of the tournament.
Gregorious, White and Wilkinson finished equal in second place in the Golden Boot with seven goals each.
In the play-off for bronze, the Cook Islands enjoyed their finest hour in beating the favoured Solomons 2-0.
It took 70 minutes to break the deadlock and then from the penalty spot as captain Mama Henry booted home after a hand ball.
The Cooks made certain of the victory nine minutes later when substitute Regina Mustonen hit home a stunning left-foot shot from the edge of the penalty area.
