New Zealander Nikki Hamblin has eased into her Commonwealth Games build-up with a solid win over 1500m at the Daegu grand prix athletics meeting in South Korea.
Hamblin, who struggled with a hip injury earlier in the year, clocked four minutes 15.21 seconds to take the win. Second place went to Australian Kaila McKnight with 4min 15.90sec while Esther Chemutai (Kenya) was third with 4min 16.62sec.
Hamblin has a best of 4min 08.52sec over 1500m, and has a fastest 800m of 2min 00.9sec.
