Fog in Christchurch and Dunedin is affecting flights at Dunedin Airport this morning.

Two flights between Dunedin and Christchurch have been cancelled this morning because of fog in Christchurch.

Passengers have been told fog is lifting in Dunedin but "substantial fog conditions" remain in Christchurch.

A domestic flight to Wellington has just left Dunedin.

However, a Virgin flight to Brisbane scheduled to leave Dunedin at 8am is now expected to depart at 10.45am because of the fog.
