Two police chases around Rotorua ended in crashes last night.

A police media spokesman said the first chase started around 11.10pm and involved a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle crashed on Kea St.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested and charged with reckless driving, unlawfully taking a vehicle and failing to stop.

She is due to appear in court today.

The second chase began around 11.20pm when a vehicle with three occupants fled police. The vehicle crashed on State Highway 5 near Ngongotaha moments later.

The spokesman said there were no reported injuries and nobody had been arrested at this stage.
