There has been a medical emergency onboard the inaugural flight from Singapore to Wellington today.
The Boeing 777 departed from Changi Airport last night, and touched down in Canberra about an hour ago.
It's the first Singapore Airlines flight to make the trek to Wellington, and is due to arrive in the capital this afternoon.
But Newstalk ZB host Tim Fookes, onboard the plane, says partway through the seven-and-a-half hour flight to Australia, trouble struck.
He says a call came over the system for a doctor to be found as someone had been suffering fainting spells throughout the trip.
