It's not quite Jamaica, but New Zealanders can enjoy a pre-summer holiday with the Vengaboys in Takapuna and Hamilton this October.

The pop group, who enjoyed fleeting success in the late 90s with chart-toppers like Uncle John From Jamaica, Boom, Boom, Boom and We Like to Party are bringing the Venga Bus to New Zealand for two shows.

Known for their infectious pop hits and campy outfits, fans can buy tickets to see the Vengaboys through Ticketmaster from 9am on April 7.

They will play at Hamilton's Claudelands Arena on October 28 and at the Bruce Mason Centre on the North Shore the next night.

The Dutch four-piece went five times platinum in New Zealand, back in the days when people still bought CDs, with 1999's The Party Album.

The Rotterdam-based group consists of lead vocalist Kim Sasabone, vocalist Denise Post-Van Rijswijk and male vocalists Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa.
