A shrine has been set up in the doorway to New Zealand rock legend Graham Brazier's book store in Auckland.
The swaggering, charismatic frontman of Kiwi rock institution Hello Sailor died on Friday morning at the age of 63.
The 63-year-old suffered the heart attack while on holiday in the Bay of Islands in August and was flown to Auckland Hospital where he underwent emergency treatment.
He had been recovering at an Auckland rehabilitation centre after a heart attack which forced the cancellation of the band's reunion tour.
Now, fans are paying tribute to the rocker with flowers, beer bottles and a shot glass were laid in the doorway outside Brazier's Books on Dominion Rd.
Farewell notes from fans and friends were among the flower tributes.
"Bye Buddy. Balmoral will miss you so much," was signed, Irene from Drum City.
Another unsigned note made reference to Brazier's former Hello Sailor bandmate Dave McArtney who died in April 2013.
It read: "Say hi to Dave - the town clock face frowned and the weather turned rough. I'm off to east of eden."
Brazier was born in Auckland spent his boyhood in Mt Eden and Balmoral where his mother ran the local book shop which the rocker later took over.
