Four people are being sought in connection with an alleged kidnapping in Queenstown last night.
Armed police raided houses in Queenstown and Frankton in connection with the alleged incident.
Queenstown police said they wished to speak to former Southland rugby player Pita Wilson, 38, Joshua James Veint, 23, Mark Taylor, about 17-years-old and an unnamed person.
They would not comment on who the alleged kidnapped victim was, but said more information would be released later today.
Mr Wilson, who made the Southland squad in 2003 after a stint with North Harbour, was shot five times on the Gold Coast in a suspected gang-related incident in June 2006.
