The death of a man whose body was found floating in the Marlborough Sounds yesterday is not considered suspicious, police say.
The man's body was discovered in Greville Harbour off D'Urville Island yesterday afternoon by a couple who were moored on their yacht nearby.
There was a second yacht moored about 100m from them which police believed the deceased man had come from.
The couple managed to pull the body from the water into a dinghy and secured until police arrived on a Coastguard launch.
Police said enquiries were continuing to establish the identity of the man and a post mortem examination was expected to be conducted today.
