A woman alleged to have abducted a 2-year-old girl from the Otago Farmers Market on Saturday will remain in custody until her application for bail is heard in Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
Yvonne Annelie Skeet, 47, a sickness beneficiary of Mosgiel faces an indictably-laid charge of abduction.
Her police-opposed application for bail began in court this morning but was adjourned to tomorrow for a formal psychiatric assessment, Judge Eddie Paul saying it was "premature to consider bail at this stage''.
