Police are hunting for a man after an armed robbery at the ANZ Bank in Christchurch yesterday.
Detective Damon Wells says the man is a European, possibly in his early 20s, tall and of medium to slim build.
Police were called to the bank in Ferry Rd Woolston about 3.20pm yesterday after alarms were activated.
The man, who was carrying a bag, approached a teller and demanded money. A small sum of money was taken and the alleged offender left the bank.
Detective Wells said police wanted to hear urgently from anyone who could help identify the man.
