The Prime Minister is looking forward to kicking back in Hawaii over the Summer holidays.
John Key has told NewsTalkZB's Paul Holmes that 2011 was a long year.
Mr Key says he felt tired following the election campaign, which saw the National Party take home its biggest win since 1951.
He says the events of the entire year, including the Christchurch earthquake and financial crisis, caught up with him after the election.
Mr Key says he'll spend his holiday reading books and catching up with his family.
