Former television presenter Paul Henry is set to leave the shores of New Zealand to join Australia Ten network's new morning show named - Breakfast.

Currently host of of the drive shift on the Radio Live station, his current employers have revealed the move this evening on 3news.

It has been reported that he was approached for the job by Ten's Chief Executive Lachlan Murdoch with a cool one million dollar contract.

Henry, widely known for his highly controversial off the cuff comments, was booted from TVNZ's Breakfast programme last year after commenting on the ethnicity of the New Zealand Governor General at the time Sir Anand Satyanand.
