Measures to control an outbreak of gastroenteritis at Massey University's Palmerston North campus are working well with only a few more cases being reported today, a spokeswoman for the university said.
Massey University acting communications manager Lindsey Birnie said about 150 students and a few staff members had been affected by the outbreak.
Measures to stop the bug from spreading, including extra cleaning and hand sanitation, were going really well, she said.
"Staff have done a fantastic job staying on site this weekend. Everyone has come together and looked after the students...it's definitely going in the right direction."
The few cases reported today were students who lived in town, Ms Birnie said.
End of year exams had not been delayed because of the outbreak.
Unwell students could either opt to sit their exams in a separate building or apply for impaired performance consideration or aegrotat.
Test results determining the cause of the outbreak were expected tomorrow.
