Fine today, with northwest gales in Wairarapa. Rain overnight, clearing from the south tomorrow, but a few showers lingering in Bay of Plenty.
Nelson and Marlborough
Showers developing this evening, but clearing in the morning.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Rain spreading north today, heavy for a time. Mainly fine tomorrow, but further rain in Fiordland at night.
Canterbury
A squally southerly change this afternoon, with showers. Cloudy periods tomorrow, and patchy morning drizzle.
Otago and Southland
Scattered showers becoming confined to the south coast tonight and clearing tomorrow.
The Chatham Islands
Rain tonight, easing to few showers tomorrow morning.

North Island, fine and warm in the east, drizzle about Northland clearing but developing in western areas further south in the evening. South Island, rain or showers in the west and far south, mainly fine elsewhere, but a southerly change brings a period of coastal showers in the east.
Tuesday
North Island, drizzle in the west, mainly morning and evening. A few showers spreading up the east coast. South Island,fine apart from some showers in the west and far south.
Wednesday
North Island, fine, apart from a few showers in the west from Wanganui to Northland. South Island, fine, apart from occasional showers in the west and far south.
Chatham Islands
Fine on Monday with northerlies developing.On Tuesday, rain developing with a southwest change later. Rain clearing early Wednesday, and becoming fine with westerlies.
