Pressure mounted on Australia's Indycar series leader Will Power as he suffered a late race wobble to finish eighth in the Indy300 at Kentucky Speedway yesterday.
With just two races remaining, Scotsman Dario Franchitti (535 points) cut Power's standings lead to 17 points by finishing third while Brazil's Helio Castroneves claimed the race victory.
New Zealand driver Scott Dixon finished seventh and remains third in the series standings, 83 points adrift of Power.
