"I didn't really believe anyone could do that. We know to take them to a locker but we just really needed to go to the toilet."
Her mother, Teresa Dear said her daughter and her friend had been cleaning tractors at the Klaas Harvest Centre over three days to earn money for Christmas presents.
"It's actually a hideous job, and her dad doesn't let off easy because she's the boss's daughter - he made her re-clean them about three or four times."
"It was like 32 degrees one day and she was out there washing tractors for 11 hours. She worked damn hard for that money, and she had done other work around the house, so she had earned the money."
Teresa suspected her daughter had been targeted.
"That money was purely for Christmas shopping.
"I just think its really sad, you should be able to send your kids off to somewhere like Splash Planet knowing they are safe.
"We raise children to be hard-working, decent human beings and to care about others, and then you get these low-lives that just target and take the easy option - they are selling their soul to get easy money because they are too lazyto work for it.
"Aimee's a really dedicated student, she works so hard and she is an academic.
"She has NCEA credits for next year because she works so hard. She's a good kid with a big heart, she didn't want any of that money for herself - that's what annoyed me."
Aimee, a Hastings Girls' High School student, said, hopefully, nobody would miss out on a Christmas present, because she hoped to get some more work to get money to buy presents for the rest of her family, including her dad.
"I might have to go back to tractor washing."
Splash Planet is owned and managed by the Hastings District Council.
Hastings Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst said she had not been informed of the incident but said she would look into it.
"Splash Planet is a much loved facility by our whole community and is visited by both locals and people from afar, and it is absolutely paramount that we are providing a safe environment for people to enjoy.
"I will see what measures we are putting in place to ensure that this sort of behaviour does not exist at our Splash Planet."
Last year, Splash Planet staff were praised for breaking up a 10-man brawl involving a visiting sports team.
