After eight and a half years of promoting everything the region has to offer Vicky Roebuck has decided to hang up her hat.
The Hawke's Bay Tourism communications manager said it was a tough decision but felt the time was right after an "amazing" few years.
"I stole a leaf out of John Key's book, the timing was right to do something different. I will certainly miss all the great people I have met along the way."
She was lucky enough to work on some "fantastic" projects during her time which included the annual Art Deco Festival, the 2011 Rugby World Cup games in Napier, FAWC!, the Cricket World Cup matches in Napier and the launch of Jetstar to the region.
Ms Roebuck went through photos yesterday afternoon and was unable to count the amount of memories she had made.
