Arsenal fans were no doubt fuming following the Premier League side's third round dumping from the FA Cup this morning at the hands of Nottingham Forest.

And an honest tweet, or clever trolling attempt, added fuel to the fire.

Championship side Forest stunned the Gunners 4-2 today. It was the first time since taking charge of Arsenal in 1996 that Arsene Wenger has been eliminated in the third round of the competition, which his team has won in three of the last four seasons.

Following the defeat, the official Twitter account of the Europa League tweeted about Arsenal's demise.

Arsenal are playing in the Europa League this season after missing out on the Champions League last year, for the first time in 21 years.

A reminder that Arsenal fans didn't need, especially after witnessing a poor performance.

Arsenal currently sit sixth on the Premier League table, the top four make the Champions League next season.

They face Swedish side Ostersund in the Europa League round of 32 next month.
