An "extremely disappointed" Kawerau Intermediate is investigating legal and protest action after the Ministry of Education announced yesterday it would close the school.
After a long review that drew protests from the Bay of Plenty logging town - including an angry demonstration on the steps of Parliament - Education Minister Anne Tolley has opted to merge Kawerau's college and intermediate.
