There is plenty of enthusiasm already emerging in the countdown to the great Hawke's Bay Today County2Coast event, with the only cloud over the popular recreational and competitive outing being the chance of clouds.
The forecast for this Sunday, when the event is being staged, is for cloud with periods of rain - although the temperatures driven by the northwesterly winds will be a more spring-like 21C, according to Weatherwatch forecasters.
But judging by comments on the Country2Coast site the weather is not really a factor.
It is more about getting out and getting into what has become a great day for families, teams and individuals.
The fundraising event combines a non-competitive family fun event with a more competitive half marathon using the Hawke's Bay Trails between the four start points and Farndon Park in Clive.
