On Easter Monday, April 6, the Historic Village, 17th Ave Tauranga, becomes The Jazz Village as it transforms into a slice of the New Orleans French Quarter for a day of music and family-friendly fun.
From the intimate setting of the Lafayette Church to outstanding world class outdoor jazz on the Big Easy stage, there is a great variety of music on offer in this magical one-day event.
"The Jazz Village is a great family outing," says festival director Rebecca Chambers.
"We really encourage people to come down forthe day, take time to meander between the stages, check out the markets and kidzone, and enjoy a relaxed family day out.
We are very excited to be finishing the festival this year with performances by Wellington City Shake-'Em'On'Downers, Fantine, and Joel Shadbolt with Rodger Fox." With strolling bands, food vendors, the Bay of Plenty Times community market, entertainment forthe children, there is plenty on offerfor all the family.
Entry is $15 for adults and free for children under 14. TECT cardholders are free - gold-coin donation to Tauranga Jazz Society appreciated.
