A Te Puke teen involved in a horrific crash near the township last night is this afternoon in a stable condition.
The 19-year-old was seriously injured in a crash that killed the driver of a people-mover after it left the road and collided with a tree on Jellicoe St about 6pm on Sunday.
The teenager, who was the passenger, was in a critical condition at Tauranga Hospital this morning.
But a Bay of Plenty District Health Board spokesman said he was now stable in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
