Volunteers are busy bunching thousands of daffodils this week ahead of Daffodil Day on Friday.
Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society's biggest fundraiser and awareness event locally and nationally. Bunched daffodils will be sent out to businesses this week and as Tauranga is the biggest pre-sale area for fresh daffodils, there is a huge number of volunteer hours dedicated to the job.
Office administrator Denise Carroll has been with the society for eight years and manages the volunteers.
Donations for Daffodil Day can be made at www.daffodilday.org.nz or given to street collectors.
