TONIGHT'S TAB Triple Trio pool at Hatrick has been guaranteed to be $15,000.

As usual, the Triple Trio will be conducted on Races 6-8. It requires punters to correctly select the first three place-getters in the three legs involved.

Runners can be boxed-up in any or all legs, however, a cheaper option is to find a banker (must finish in the first-three) in each leg and couple that banker up with a spread off other runners. Percentage betting is allowed.

A concession dividend is declared, but to collect it your ticket must be live going into the final leg.

Here's a look at some of the leading contenders for each leg.

Leg 1 - Race 6 (6.16pm): Another Habit appeals as the banker in a challenging opening leg. Forget his miss in last Friday's $8000 feature as he eases back into grade racing for this event.

Couple up Opawa Sam, Punch On Jamie, Opawa Jackie, Botany Liz and Kerry Lane with Another Habit.

Reserve runner Nitro Mary must be considered if she gets a race start here.

In the second leg, the up-and-coming sprinter Superliner has drawn to deliver a bold sprint.

Bank him and couple up Homebush Dobby, Brilliant Ava, Hannibal Lecter and Deathstar with him.

Speedy Beat caught the eye when wearing the pink racing vest last Friday. She ran a bold second then and she will be starting from the eight-trap again tonight.

Serena Rose, Angie Zarr, Nero and Allegro Boom are the place prospects with her.

Next Friday's local greyhound action will be at the Manawatu Raceway in Palmerston North.

The meeting is the Greyhound Racing NZ annual meeting and awards meeting, which follows on Saturday.

It will be a ripper of a card, with numerous high stake feature events being contested. Included is the final of the $13,000 Nancy Cobain Memorial, which will be decided over the 660m staying test at Group 2 level.

Two heats were held last Monday which now presents an exciting match-up between the classy heat winners Cawbourne Bright and Dream Collector.
