The talented Darlyne Ottey looms as a potential anchor in this evening's quaddie at the Hatrick Raceway.

The Lisa Ahern-trained chaser resumed from a spell at Manawatu Raceway on Monday in brilliant style.

She tore apart a quality field of open class sprinters over 375m.

Tonight she steps up to 520m racing in race ten which is expected to be ideal for her.

As usual, the quaddie kicks off on race nine (8.13pm) with a tricky looking 305m sprint field.

The kennel-mates Homebush Sarge and Homebush Craig are likely to find the opposition they meet here easier after having contested the recent rich Galaxy Sprint series in Christchurch.

The long run of seconds for locally trained Enzuma finally came to an end when she cracked a deserved win last Friday.

She won that sprint stylishly enough to suggest that the rise in class she faces here shouldn't faze her.

Meanwhile, Another Becky has won three of her four previous sprints from the one-trap she leaps from there tonight.

The second quaddie leg is the one featuring Darlyne Ottey and as indicated she will be ready for a bold effort.

If she does strike traffic problems, then consider Another Breeze, Thrilling Cairo and Tummy Krunches as the cover options.

In the third leg, the inside traps appears to hold the key.

Homebush Helen brings sound one-trap form into this sprint, Flag Waver was luckless when returning from a spell last Friday, while Cawbourne Levi has been known to inject value in the past.

Also take a look at Black Cauldron, who is the first runner here for the former Australian trainer Glen Quirk.

And the locally trained Howlin Wind has drawn to swoop right around the outer.

A switch back to a trap closer to the rail is likely to assist Rosemore Osti in the final leg and she owns strong claims owing to that.

Kennel-mate Ciao For Now won well last Friday to suggest he can serve up a repeat dose.

Cawbourne Tank can make effective use of the kind draw he has been allocated here, while Moody Man has been known to upset similar fields like this one before.
