The wife of missing Bulls man Kevin Hartley has died.

Police said Joanne Hartley had died but would not disclose the circumstances.

"Police can confirm that Mr Hartley's wife has passed away," a spokesperson said.

"We will not be providing comment on the circumstances of her death."

Kevin Hartley has been missing since February 16 when he was last seen driving a quad bike in the Scotts Ferry area.

Hundreds of searchers combed the Santoft Forest and beach areas where Mr Hartley's quad bike was found but discovered nothing of interest.

Mr Hartley is still missing and the search for him has been scaled down.
