Advice milestone
Wanganui Budget Advisory Service is celebrating 25 years as an incorporated society.
The Annual Heirloom Seed Swap, part of the Whanganui Permaculture Weekend, takes place on Sunday.
It's from 2-4pm at the Quaker Meeting House, 256 Wicksteed St. It's a chance to meet other gardeners and swap heirloom and open pollinated seed, with a cup of tea to follow.
Seed information is needed, and spare seedlings can be swapped. Bring a gold coin donation, too, and some food to share.
Damage admitted
Joseph Thomas White pleaded guilty to a charge of wilful damage in Whanganui District Court yesterday.
White was sentenced to 6 months' supervision by Judge Philip Crayton, who also ordered him to pay $300 reparation.
