Two transported to hospital after campervan crashes into tree near Marton

Two people were taken to hospital on Monday evening after a campervan collided with a tree near Marton.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Makirikiri Rd at 5.30pm.

St John were called to the scene, transporting two people to Palmerston North Hospital.

One was in a serious condition and another was in a moderate condition.
